About the role
Kemira is seeking a Senior Business & Market Development Manager for its Packaging & Hygiene Solutions business unit in the EMEA region. The role will drive growth plans, market intelligence, and commercialization of new products across paper, board, tissue and molded‑fiber markets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute growth plans for the region and segments in partnership with Sales, Product Line Management and Product Development.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities aligned with strategic priorities and portfolio needs.
- Drive market intelligence by monitoring trends, customer needs, technology developments and regulatory changes, turning insights into growth opportunities.
- Lead commercialization of new products and solutions from concept to market launch, fostering customer adoption and profitable growth.
- Partner with commercial teams to identify target customers, craft value propositions and prioritize engagement and trials.
- Act as the commercial business owner for development projects, continuously validating assumptions and translating them into measurable outcomes.
- Identify and evaluate partnerships, collaborations and inorganic growth opportunities to strengthen the portfolio and capabilities.
- Support strategic decision‑making through market analysis and actionable recommendations.
Required profile
- Proven experience in business and market development, commercialization or product management within an international B2B environment.
- Strong knowledge of the paper, board and tissue industry and paper chemicals.
- Demonstrated ability to identify growth opportunities and turn market insights into business cases and profitable initiatives.
- Track record of commercializing new products and delivering measurable business results.
- Ability to act as a business owner for development projects, aligning customer needs with growth objectives.
- Excellent analytical skills to synthesize market, customer, competitive and financial information into clear recommendations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to lead, engage, influence and inspire cross‑functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills for engaging customers, partners and senior leadership.
