Project Planner - Process Industries

About the role

The Process Industries Division of AFRY is looking for an experienced Project Planner to join its Project Controls team. The planner develops and maintains project schedules across projects and stages, from sales proposal to execution, working closely with project management. The main place of work is in Vantaa, with a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Set up project schedule development and control, and progress reporting for all types of projects
• Work with the project team to develop the baseline schedule
• Track project deliverables progress, calculate progress and forecast the future
• Communicate schedule status and report deviations
• Proactively manage the scheduling process, including identifying critical timelines
• Engage with the project team, customer representatives and other stakeholders

Required profile

• Degree in engineering in a relevant field
• Experience in industrial project planning for engineering, procurement and construction
• Full professional proficiency in Finnish and English
• Ability to identify bottlenecks in the schedule and advise the project team
• Good knowledge of execution scheduling at the construction site
• Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, strong self-leadership and readiness to travel and relocate

Required skills

• Scheduling tools such as MS Project and Primavera
• Data analytics and visualization tools (an advantage)
