Project Manager – Fiber Optics Production Line

About the role

You will lead international customer projects for the machinery that manufactures optical fiber, overseeing the process from project kick‑off through installation, commissioning and final acceptance. The position is based in Vantaa with occasional travel to customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Take over projects from sales, clarifying scope and obligations internally and with the customer.
• Lead project planning, including budgets, schedules and communication routines.
• Monitor execution, manage deviations, changes and risks.
• Maintain regular contact with the customer’s project manager, handle claims and build relationships.
• Arrange, schedule and follow up installation and commissioning at the customer site, guiding the site team.
• Own the project budget and ensure delivery on schedule and within budget.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience delivering industrial equipment projects.
• Technical background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Process or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across a matrix organization.
• Proactive, self‑driven mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to perform under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Adaptability to work with diverse cultures and disciplines.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Finnish is an advantage.
