Project Manager – Civil Works for Substations

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager, Civil Works to strengthen our substation business in Finland. You will own the civil construction scope of turnkey substation projects, ensuring safe, on‑time, on‑budget delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all civil construction activities from sales phase through final completion.
• Manage contractors, monitor project schedules and costs, and ensure compliance with permits, regulations and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site visits to support progress, resolve issues and maintain safety standards.
• Participate in contractor selection and procurement to secure suitable partners for each project.
• Provide construction expertise during the sales phase, including cost estimation, scheduling and risk analysis.

Required profile

• Technical education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in civil engineering, construction management or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid experience in civil construction projects, preferably in substations, power generation or industrial energy infrastructure.
• Good understanding of construction methods, contractor management and project execution.
• Ability to balance big‑picture thinking with attention to detail and take ownership of project outcomes.
• Fluent in Finnish and English (written and spoken); additional language skills such as Swedish are a plus.
