Ocean Freight Operations Coordinator

About the role

Toll Group, a global logistics and supply chain company, is looking for an Ocean Freight Operations Coordinator in Vantaa. The role ensures the smooth and efficient movement of cargo across global supply chains, coordinating shipments and working closely with customers, shipping lines and other partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean and air freight shipments for import and export movements.
• Manage booking processes, cargo pick-up and delivery arrangements, export and import clearances and prepare shipping documentation.
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport providers and warehouses.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure compliance with customs and maritime regulations.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely booking confirmations.
• Handle invoicing and operational administration activities.

Required profile

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in ocean freight operations.
• Knowledge and experience of customs processes.
• Experience in air export operations is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and strong Finnish language skills.
• Entitlement to work in Finland and willingness to undergo pre-employment checks, including a criminal history check and medical.

• Freight management systems such as CargoWise and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Customer-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.
