Metro Construction EHS Manager – Helsinki

About the role

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation team is looking for a Metro Construction EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety initiatives for construction projects across the Helsinki region. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Drive high‑impact EHS initiatives with urgency and accountability, ensuring timely execution of priorities.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, senior leaders, and cross‑functional teams to support decision‑making.
• Influence stakeholders to align with strategic safety objectives and continuous‑improvement goals.
• Develop, analyse, and communicate performance metrics, dashboards, and scorecards for data‑driven decisions.
• Lead multiple high‑priority construction safety projects simultaneously, delivering on schedule and business requirements.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability in a fast‑paced environment.
• Partner with cross‑functional groups to establish shared goals and deliver outcomes in line with Microsoft’s One culture.
• Communicate project status, risks, opportunities, and recommendations clearly in written and verbal formats.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supplier management and construction safety oversight.
• Strong analytical abilities with a track record of using data to design scalable processes.
• Advanced knowledge of construction and design safety management, capable of recognizing and controlling risks.
• Effective collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
