Mathematics Expert – Remote (Finland)

About the role

Join a cutting‑edge AI data team to design challenging mathematical problems that improve reasoning in frontier models. This remote, part‑time contract role focuses on creating deterministic, verifiable problems with complete solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design advanced mathematical problems for AI training and evaluation.
• Create deterministic problems that have exactly one correct answer.
• Write complete, verified solutions and clearly document the reasoning process.
• Develop problems that test deep mathematical reasoning rather than memorisation.
• Use Python or specialised tools to build computational workflows where relevant.
• Ensure all outputs are technically precise, reproducible and well‑written in English.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• Strong research or industry experience involving mathematical modelling, proof‑based reasoning, applied or computational mathematics.
• Strong Python skills and comfort with scientific libraries.
• Solid grasp of algorithms, numerical methods and computational approaches.
• Ability to design original, difficult problems that mirror real mathematical workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English.
