Logistics Supervisor – Helsinki

About the role

Mercury, the European leader in construction solutions, is seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee project logistics for complex engineering and construction sites in Helsinki. You will be responsible for coordinating supplier deliveries, managing site safety, and ensuring efficient movement of materials and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Strategically plan and manage all project logistics from supplier to on‑site off‑loading.
• Track site deliveries against the Procurement Schedule Report (PSR) and ensure schedule compliance.
• Manage site safety in collaboration with the project team, including vehicle operations and traffic management.
• Organise storage of materials and monitor distribution across the site.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to procure plant, equipment and materials.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date plant log, including hire, off‑hire and repair dates, using the Eida system where possible.
• Implement a ticketing system for site deliveries and control haulier access.
• Supervise, coach and train site staff, and manage related budgets.

Required profile

• Proven record in logistics management within construction or engineering projects.
• Experience coordinating deliveries, storage, and site safety procedures.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Procurement Schedule Report (PSR) processes.
• Experience using the Eida logistics system or similar tools.
