Head of Group Accounting

About the role

Helvar is seeking an experienced Head of Group Accounting to lead and further develop its group‑wide accounting and financial reporting function. Reporting to the CFO, you will ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting across the international, multi‑entity organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee group consolidation and deliver timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Define and enforce group accounting policies, internal controls and regulatory compliance across all subsidiaries.
• Manage the external audit process and serve as the primary contact for auditors.
• Own the transfer pricing framework, ensuring consistent application and documentation across jurisdictions.
• Drive continuous improvement in closing, consolidation and reporting through system development, automation and data quality initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing accounting team while fostering strong stakeholder engagement globally.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with extensive experience in group accounting, consolidation and financial reporting in an international, multi‑entity environment.
• Strong technical accounting background combined with a hands‑on approach to process management.
• Proven track record of leading teams, improving processes and operating in a dynamic setting.
• Relevant academic degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
