Freelance SAP Finnish Payroll Consultant

About the role

This freelance position is for a functional consultant who acts as the client-facing lead on Finnish payroll implementations. You will support project kick-off, gather requirements, configure the payroll solution and help deliver a successful go-live.

Key responsibilities

• Lead functional requirements discussions and gather payroll configuration information with clients
• Identify deviations from standard payroll functionality and work with Product and Technical teams to configure and implement the solution
• Validate configurations, functionalities and integrations during testing, and perform data validation in the payroll system
• Coordinate defect tracking and resolution, and support data mapping, migration and validation across integrated systems
• Troubleshoot payroll integration issues and support UAT and parallel payroll testing
• Define workarounds for functional issues and contribute to project planning and progress tracking
• Oversee knowledge transfer to Delivery, Application Services and Operational Payroll teams

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Finnish payroll implementation experience as Functional or Implementation Consultant
• Strong knowledge of Finnish payroll legislation, statutory requirements, taxation and payroll processes
• Experience gathering requirements, configuring payroll solutions, supporting testing and go-live
• Experience with ERP payroll solutions such as SAP Payroll, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll or equivalent

Required skills

• Client-facing communication and consulting skills, and strong stakeholder management
• Ability to document requirements and propose alternative solutions
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
