Forward Deployed Engineer – Public Sector, Nonprofit & Education

About the role

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise customer environments. You will work on real‑code projects that impact large public‑sector, nonprofit and education organisations from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑build AI agents and experiences with a Deployment Strategist, delivering production‑ready solutions across multiple accounts.
• Own end‑to‑end technical components, from architecture design to deployment, validation, and observability.
• Build and integrate data pipelines on platforms such as Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
• Develop performance dashboards and KPI reporting to monitor agent health and business outcomes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with at least one production system you can demonstrate.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Customer‑facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering).
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time to work directly with customers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Apex.
• Hands‑on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, and agentic AI platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Familiarity with Salesforce platform, Agentforce, and AI frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex is a plus.
