Financial Controller – Turku, Finland

About the role

DFDS Logistics Oy is seeking a Financial Controller to join its Turku office. You will work in an international environment, collaborating with the local Finance Business Partner and the DBS Finance Shared Service Centre in Poland to ensure high‑quality financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for assigned legal entities.
• Perform month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and document statutory financial statements in accordance with Finnish legislation and coordinate audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax and VAT regulations and prepare income‑tax calculations.
• Support the Finance Business Partner with analysis and decision‑making based on reliable financial data.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in Finnish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory reporting requirements and internal controls.
• Experience in logistics, transportation or supply‑chain industry is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficient use of ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
