Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team within Eaton’s EMEA Critical Power Solutions R&D organization at our modern campus in Vantaa, Finland. The role is full‑time and hybrid, reporting to senior leadership and responsible for delivering new power‑electronics products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the engineering strategy and roadmap for new product development, aligning with business objectives and market requirements.
• Own product delivery, including schedule, budget, quality, and technical performance targets.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing engineering team, overseeing hiring, promotions and performance reviews.
• Coordinate cross‑functional resources across hardware, firmware and mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Represent engineering in senior leadership forums and steering committees.
• Ensure designs meet IEC standards and EU regulatory requirements and act as escalation point for compliance matters.
• Contribute to engineering budget planning and resource allocation across multiple projects.
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation and safety culture in R&D test labs.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in power‑electronics or electrical product design, with proven technical leadership.
• Strong people‑management and stakeholder‑communication skills.
• Strategic thinking and ability to influence complex technical initiatives.
