EIA Engineer – Equipment Engineering (Lappeenranta)

About the role

Join Metso’s Equipment Engineering team in Lappeenranta and help shape innovative engineering solutions for sustainable filtration technologies. You will work on detailed equipment design, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and local regulations while supporting cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed design for equipment delivery projects.
• Ensure designs meet customer specifications, location‑specific codes, standards, and legislation.
• Provide technical support to Product Management, Sourcing, Sales, Manufacturing, and Service.
• Take accountability for technical quality and on‑time delivery of design work.
• Develop expertise in Metso’s filtration technology area.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrification or automation.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in EIA engineering.
• Good spoken and written Finnish and English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites and manufacturing workshops.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PLC/iPC‑controlled systems.
• Experience with EIA engineering and product data‑management tools.
• Understanding of machinery safety regulations and corresponding international standards.
