Director, Financial Operations & Accounting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Director of FinOps & Accounting to lead our Accounting and Reporting teams within the Finance function, based in Helsinki or Dublin. The role oversees external financial reporting, treasury and cash management, audit and compliance, as well as accounts receivable/payable and billing functions, while building effective financial controls and a high‑performing finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve accounting processes; ensure accurate monthly and annual financial statements in line with Local GAAP, FAS and IFRS.
• Own the financial closing process, including consolidations, reconciliations, accruals and month‑end activities.
• Oversee treasury operations, source‑to‑pay, billing, AR/AP and working‑capital efficiency.
• Manage international tax and VAT compliance in partnership with external advisors.
• Lead group and subsidiary audits, maintaining relationships with audit firms and ensuring timely outcomes.
• Drive digital transformation of the accounting function by automating manual bottlenecks with AI‑driven workflows.
• Partner with RevOps, Legal, Sales, Marketing and Product teams to provide financial analysis and support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Formal accountancy qualification (e.g., KHT, ACA or ACCA).
• More than 10 years of finance experience with extensive accounting and controlling exposure.
• Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of Local GAAP, FAS and IFRS reporting standards.
• Proficiency with financial management software and ERP systems, particularly Netsuite.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for presenting financial information to diverse stakeholders.
• High integrity, confidentiality and ethical standards.
