DevOps Engineer

About the role

Saab is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, secure and maintain the development infrastructure that supports the full product lifecycle. You will work closely with software developers, architects and engineering teams to streamline workflows and introduce modern tools.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the DevOps toolchain, source code repositories, build systems, CI/CD pipelines and artifact repositories.
• Design, implement and sustain secure, resilient network connectivity for development, build, test and deployment environments.
• Support Kubernetes platform architecture, including ingress, load balancing, DNS, service connectivity, network policies and certificate management.
• Integrate security controls, vulnerability management and compliance checks into the software development lifecycle.
• Automate manual processes and drive continuous improvements in efficiency, reliability and traceability.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in DevOps, build engineering or software tooling.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, proxies, load balancing and TLS/PKI.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes‑based container platforms.
• Proactive, hands‑on mindset with good communication skills in Finnish and English.

Required skills

• GitLab or Git, Docker, Jenkins, Artifactory or Nexus.
• Design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery processes.
• Scripting/automation with Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, DevSecOps practices and open‑source governance.
