Data Center IT Management Engineer

About the role

TikTok’s Data Center Service team is looking for an experienced Data Center IT Management Engineer to ensure the reliability and scalability of hyper‑scale datacenters in Finland. You will lead day‑to‑day IT operations, guide technicians, and support the full server rack lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily IT infrastructure operations across assigned data‑center sites, maintaining uptime and SLA compliance.
• Lead Data Center Technicians, allocate tasks, and oversee hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Manage incident and change lifecycles, resolve incidents to SLA, execute changes under formal control, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Track and report operational metrics such as availability, MTTR, ticket ageing, and rack capacity utilisation.
• Support data‑center projects including capacity expansions, retrofits, infrastructure upgrades, and new site builds.
• Maintain and improve site documentation (SOPs, MOPs, escalation matrices) and act as an escalation point for recurring issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data‑center operations, IT infrastructure, hardware support, and structured cabling.
• Hands‑on knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware with component‑level diagnostics.
• Basic Linux OS administration and BMC/BIOS configuration skills.
• Understanding of critical facility infrastructure (UPS, generators, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH, cooling topology).
• Experience with DCIM, ticketing, and monitoring platforms.
• Clear written and verbal communication for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
