Cyber Security Lead

About the role

Kalmar is looking for a Cyber Security Lead to embed robust, practical security measures into the digital solutions that power its global machinery. You will act as the bridge between development teams, internal divisions, and the broader Kalmar cyber security community, guiding the protection of cloud platforms and IoT‑driven offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Own and advance the Secure Development Lifecycle and yearly cyber security calendar, ensuring compliance with standards such as IEC 62443.
• Organise and lead project security reviews, conduct threat modelling and implement pragmatic mitigation strategies.
• Act as a trusted advisor across Kalmar divisions, translating technical security requirements into actionable practices for non‑security stakeholders.
• Participate actively in company‑wide security initiatives, collaborating with internal teams, external consultants and the broader cyber security community.
• Continuously evaluate and prioritise top security risks for cloud, IoT and software offerings, driving improvement across development pipelines.

Required profile

• Academic foundation – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven background applying cyber security principles, network and data security fundamentals, and security tools within software or system development projects.
• Experience with Secure Development Lifecycles, threat modelling and frameworks such as IEC 62443 or ISO 27001.
• Excellent interpersonal and critical‑thinking skills, able to articulate complex security risks to cross‑functional teams.
• Desired extras – cloud and IoT security (AWS), secure coding, security auditing, PKI, AI/ML applications in security operations.
• Professional fluency in spoken and written English.
