CSA (Civils) Lead - Data Centres

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a CSA (Civils) Lead for data centre projects in Oulu. The role oversees and manages the civil, structural and architectural aspects of construction projects during the design and procurement phase and project execution, working on-site and coordinating engineers, architects, schedulers, contractors, vendors and the client.

Key responsibilities

• Project coordination: review and approve CSA design documents, take part in design reviews and risk assessments, and manage contractors, vendors and subcontractors
• Chair and document client meetings, and report weekly to the Project Director on scope, budget and schedule
• Risk management: maintain the project risk register, monitor mitigation plans and escalate tasks affecting the critical path
• Quality control: set up quality procedures, monitor commissioning, verify the general contractor's compliance with specs and design, and manage defects and handover
• Documentation: coordinate RFIs, submittals and transmittals, and prepare weekly and monthly status reports
• Site management: monitor site works, run quality audits and witness tests, align the construction schedule with progress and ensure health and safety compliance
• Team coordination: support punch-list development, liaise with DC Operations and Security Operations, and help the general contractor prepare handover schedules

Required profile

• Extensive experience in CSA roles, especially in mission-critical environments such as data centres, nuclear or pharma
• Genuine lead profile with 10+ years of experience
• In-depth knowledge of CSA design principles and construction methodologies
• Strong project management and leadership skills, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills
