Community Development Manager – Strategic Partnerships

About the role

The Community Development Manager will support Google’s Strategic Partnerships Office in driving community‑focused strategies for data‑center growth in Finland. You will combine community engagement expertise with data‑driven insights to shape place‑based development plans that align with both business objectives and local stakeholder needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global data‑center community development strategies and investments for Finland.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Acquisition, Energy, Government Affairs, Cloud Supply Chain, Marketing, Google.org) to create place‑based development plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, industry partners, education institutions, and non‑profit organisations.
• Translate research data into actionable insights that prioritize community needs and support accelerated data‑center projects.
• Develop communication tools to educate local communities about data‑center impact and create self‑sustaining investment plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 8 years of program or project‑management experience, including work with local municipalities, associations, and community stakeholders.
• Fluency in Finnish for interaction with local stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 25 % of the time.
• Preferred: MBA or Master’s in Education, Public Relations/Policy, or related field; experience with analytics, public‑private partnerships, and data‑center environments.
