Business Development Manager – Helsinki

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives for a leading global logistics and supply chain provider in Finland. Based in Helsinki, you will be responsible for generating new business and building long‑term customer relationships across the Finnish market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales strategy to acquire new customers across key industry sectors in Finland.
• Identify, target and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
• Conduct client meetings to understand supply‑chain challenges and propose tailored freight forwarding and logistics solutions.
• Prepare, negotiate and close commercial proposals, pricing agreements and contracts.
• Collaborate with operations, pricing and customer‑solutions teams to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting in the CRM system.
• Achieve and exceed revenue and gross‑profit targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply‑chain or transportation sales.
• Strong track record of winning new business and meeting commercial targets.
• Hunter mentality with a proactive and resilient approach to business development.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Fluent in Finnish and English; knowledge of the Finnish logistics market is a plus.
