AI Developer - LLM Applications

About the role

We are looking for an AI Developer to design and deliver end‑to‑end LLM‑powered applications in Helsinki. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, from backend architecture to user‑facing components, in a collaborative, low‑hierarchy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable LLM‑enabled applications, integrating commercial and open‑source models such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Meta Llama.
• Build and maintain retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines, including embeddings, vector databases (PostgreSQL + pgvector, chromaDB, Pinecone) and robust prompt‑engineering guardrails.
• Deploy AI solutions in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) using containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional client teams to define use cases, choose appropriate technologies and deliver world‑class technical expertise.
• Develop evaluation pipelines to benchmark model performance, safety and compliance with data‑privacy regulations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AI software development, including LLMs, backend and frontend components, in production settings.
• Comfort communicating with client stakeholders in both Finnish and English.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, test automation and data‑privacy (GDPR) considerations.

Required skills

• Python or Node.js/TypeScript (experience with frameworks such as LangChain, FastAPI, LlamaIndex).
• Experience with vector databases (PostgreSQL + pgvector, chromaDB, Pinecone) and RAG pipelines.
• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Foundational DevOps knowledge including CI and automated testing.
