Accounting Consultant – 12‑month Fixed‑Term

About the role

TMF Finland is seeking an Accounting Consultant to support the financial integration of a newly acquired company. The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract and works closely with the Market Finance Manager to align the entity with TMF Group accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the transition from invoice‑based accounting to accrual‑based accounting, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Assist with legal entity integration and merger‑related accounting activities.
• Establish and implement financial reporting processes in line with TMF Group standards and requirements.
• Perform month‑end closing activities, including revenue recognition, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with TMF Group accounting policies, reporting deadlines, and financial governance requirements.
• Support the harmonisation and optimisation of accounting processes throughout the integration phase.
• Prepare documentation, process guidelines, and knowledge‑transfer materials for the project.
• Facilitate a smooth handover of processes and knowledge to the Regional Delivery Center upon project completion.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders across local and group functions to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting, financial reporting, or finance operations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS.
• Experience with month‑end closing activities and financial reconciliations.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Finnish language skills are highly desirable.
• Experience supporting finance transformation, system migration, or business integration projects is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a structured problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
