Product Compliance Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Product Compliance Counsel to shape compliance strategies for innovative digital products used worldwide. Based in Finland and operating in a remote‑first environment, you will work at the intersection of law, technology, marketing, and product development.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve product specifications, user journeys, monetisation models and digital features to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Support product compliance audits, incident‑response processes and corrective‑action implementation.
• Assess marketing materials, advertising campaigns and promotional claims for alignment with consumer‑protection regulations and platform policies.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting digital products, AI governance, consumer protection, advertising and platform regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Communicate legal updates and help cross‑functional teams implement required operational changes.
• Develop compliance awareness initiatives, including internal training, onboarding resources, playbooks and documentation.
• Review AI‑powered products, features and third‑party AI integrations to ensure legal compliance and responsible AI governance.

Required profile

• Law degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with strong knowledge of digital product regulations.
• Experience in consumer‑protection law in the EU and US, and in marketing/advertising compliance.
• Understanding of technology legislation, AI governance frameworks and sanctions‑related regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑moving technology environment.
