Global Division Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the role

ABB is seeking a senior leader to drive reliable financial analysis, planning and forecasting for its Global Division. Reporting to the Business Chief Financial Officer, you will support senior executives and business partners in decision‑making and help shape the division’s financial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead analysis of financial results and prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual management reports, including performance dashboards and commentaries.
• Define, coordinate and oversee the Annual and Long‑Term Performance Plan (APP/LPP) and forecasting processes together with global Business Lines FP&A.
• Drive implementation of standardized FP&A processes, tools and AI‑enabled solutions in collaboration with Data Management and Finance Operations.
• Evaluate strategic and investment decisions, ensuring data quality and consistency across reporting units.
• Lead planning improvements, cost‑saving initiatives and organizational development through training and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Strong background in FP&A, financial controlling, accounting, consulting or a similar analytical environment.
• Experience with financial analysis, planning, forecasting and performance management in a complex B2B or industrial setting.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
• Demonstrated learning agility and comfort working across functions, geographies and cultures.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, SAP or comparable finance platforms.
• Familiarity with data‑driven finance tools and emerging technologies such as AI.
