Excel Specialist - Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excel Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis. You will design realistic business scenarios and evaluate AI‑generated Office documents, ensuring they meet professional standards across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate challenging business scenarios using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Engage in structured, multi‑turn conversations with a large language model (LLM) to present complex prompts and assess AI outputs.
• Create, review, and compare Office files (.xlsx.docx.pptx) against professional benchmarks.
• Document feedback, providing side‑by‑side preference data to improve AI model quality, accuracy, and business relevance.
• Contribute domain‑specific insights across diverse functions such as strategy, operations, finance, marketing, and HR.
• Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats for the AI training team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional experience in Fortune 500 environments using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on high‑impact projects.
• Proven ability to build complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations in finance, healthcare, tech, consulting, or retail.
• Background in roles such as private‑equity associate, investment‑banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR, or marketing strategist.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Experience interacting with LLMs or crafting long‑form AI prompts is a strong plus.
• Analytical mindset capable of evaluating nuanced differences in document quality and business applicability.
