Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our project team in Vaasa, Finland. You will support the development, coordination, and delivery of design solutions across civil, structural, architectural and MEP disciplines for large‑scale data centre projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate design solutions across all project disciplines.
• Prepare, review and maintain drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensure design deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Participate in design, coordination and project review meetings.
• Liaise with construction teams to guarantee design intent is understood and implemented on site.
• Manage RFIs and provide timely responses to technical queries.
• Support the review and approval of technical submittals and design documentation.
• Identify and help resolve design, technical and coordination issues.
• Assist commercial teams by flagging design‑related risks and potential variations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a design engineering role within construction or building services.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams on construction projects.
• Good understanding of design principles, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

• Revit (or similar BIM software)
