Commercial Transactional Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Transactional Lawyer to provide strategic legal support for complex commercial operations within an international, dynamic environment. Working remotely from Finland, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to draft, negotiate, and manage agreements that drive growth and operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, service, licensing, distribution, partnership, NDAs, and joint venture contracts.
• Provide strategic guidance on commercial risks, contractual obligations, and compliance under applicable Australian laws.
• Support corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations through legal due diligence and documentation.
• Analyze business strategies from a legal perspective and deliver practical recommendations.
• Stay current on changes in commercial legislation, regulations, and contract law.
• Independently manage legal matters while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial transactions, corporate law, or a related legal field.
• Strong knowledge of Australian contract law, commercial regulations, and business practices.
• Proven ability to draft, review, negotiate, and advise on diverse commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently in a remote setting.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with international teams and non‑legal stakeholders.
