Assistant Front Desk Manager

About the role

The Assistant Front Desk Manager supports the Guest Services team in delivering industry‑leading service to guests. This role combines hands‑on desk duties with coaching, training and performance monitoring to ensure a consistently high‑quality guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate a front desk team, providing coaching, training and performance evaluations.
• Address guest feedback proactively, resolve issues and ensure permanent solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of key performance indicators, guest ratings and comments to drive a culture of ownership.
• Perform front desk services including lost luggage, cash services, safety deposit boxes, lost‑and‑found, printing, Sea Pass card issuance and ship announcements.
• Lead by example, remaining visible at the desk to assist the team and guests.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of front‑of‑house supervisory experience in a hotel, cruise line or related hospitality setting.
• Ability to handle internal and external guests with discretion, patience, tact and diplomacy.
• Strong communication skills for negotiating resolutions with managers and staff.
• Flexibility to work across the fleet and adapt to a changing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational education preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.
