Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

GE HealthCare Finland is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to optimize its software development lifecycle and ensure the reliability, scalability and security of its healthcare solutions. The role designs, implements and maintains the continuous integration and infrastructure for a medical device software development pipeline, working closely with development, QA and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain build, integration and automation platforms supporting multiple embedded software products and development programs.
• Develop and enhance customized open-source automation solutions for product-specific development, integration and verification.
• Support product releases through automated build generation, validation, traceability and compliance workflows.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Maintain security best practices within the DevOps pipeline and mentor junior engineers.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools, and collaborate with teams to establish best practices for software delivery and system operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Solid experience in a DevOps, SRE or similar role.
• Experience in the healthcare domain or regulated environments is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Desired: Linux system administration, networking, embedded software development, hardware/software integration, and a DevOps operations background.

Required skills

• CI/CD tools and methodologies.
• Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Linux systems and package compilation (rpm).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, PowerShell and Ruby.
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman) and orchestration.
• Monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and the ELK stack.
• Networking concepts, security best practices and system administration.
