Lead Software Engineer – Shape the Future of Mobility

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the technical direction of a high‑scale mobility marketplace used by millions across Finland. The role combines hands‑on development with strategic leadership, ensuring engineering excellence while influencing multiple product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and guide the overall technical architecture and roadmap.
• Raise engineering quality, processes and delivery standards across squads.
• Champion the adoption of AI‑enhanced development practices.
• Identify and remove blockers, empowering teams to ship faster.
• Stay hands‑on with code while mentoring and influencing several engineering teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Lead, Principal, Staff Engineer or similar technical leadership role.
• Strong hands‑on software engineering background with architecture expertise.
• Experience with relational databases and both modern web and legacy backend systems.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks and engineering best practices.
