Art Director – Clash of Clans

About the role

We are looking for an Art Director to lead the visual identity of Clash of Clans across the game, cosmetics, and all brand extensions, keeping the IP fresh while staying true to its DNA.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the visual direction of Clash across the game, cosmetics, and every surface the IP touches.
• Set style and brand standards for in‑game art, marketing, trailers, toy lines, campaigns, and entertainment partners.
• Partner with design, product, and marketing leadership to align art strategy with gameplay clarity and long‑term brand health.
• Mentor and support Clash artists, helping them produce their best work while staying aligned with the IP.
• Shape the roadmap for modernising pipelines (2D‑to‑3D, audio, tooling, emerging technologies) to give artists more creative time.
• Represent art at a senior level with outsourcing partners, entertainment, marketing, and franchise collaborators.

Required profile

• Proven track record leading art direction on stylised, mobile or live‑service games.
• Strong IP and brand instincts with the ability to define on‑brand versus off‑brand decisions.
• Leadership experience guiding senior art teams, setting vision, and developing talent.
• Strategic experience managing outsourcing pipelines and external partners at scale.
• Comfort operating in a low‑process, high‑trust environment where outcomes are owned.
• Self‑starter attitude toward AI, using it in day‑to‑day work and experimentation.
