Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

Hyperion Robotics is developing advanced 3D concrete printing systems to make construction more sustainable and intelligent. As a Senior Structural Engineer you will own structural engineering packages from concept through to site testing, working closely with robotics, production and sales teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and analysis of prefabricated printed elements, reinforcement layouts and 3D‑printed formwork in strict compliance with Eurocodes and EN standards.
• Author, review and validate comprehensive calculation reports and technical documentation for client initiatives.
• Perform detailed structural calculations, including load paths, soil‑structure interactions, stability and serviceability assessments.
• Update and expand Hyperion’s structural product catalogue, creating a standardized library of 3D‑printable products.
• Prepare and lead Factory Production Control (FPC) and CE‑marking documentation, including Declarations of Performance and Initial Type Testing.
• Collaborate with the Sales team on structural feasibility and cost assessments for proposals.
• Supervise laboratory material testing, site testing activities and support external audits.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal engineering standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Solid professional experience in structural design and analysis, operating independently at a senior level.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (GSA or equivalent FEM tools) and CAD/Rhino‑Grasshopper modeling.
• Ability to produce and validate construction drawings, reinforcement schedules and signed calculation reports with minimal supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes (including EN 14991, EN 206) and geotechnical interactions.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
