Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Eaton’s modern campus in Vantaa, Finland, is expanding its critical power systems business. We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to act as the mechanical specialist for large UPS and special systems across the EMEA region, supporting pre‑sales activities and delivering customized solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal sales, R&D, product marketing, production and suppliers to design tailored UPS solutions.
• Analyse customer requirements, conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses and material selections.
• Provide technical expertise during customer visits, witness tests and product demonstrations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring tight deadlines are met.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Solid experience in mechanical design within relevant industries.
• Fluency in English and basic knowledge of Finnish.
• Strong work ethic, communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Mechanical design of electrical systems and solutions.
• Experience with UPS and frequency converter technologies and assemblies.
• Proficiency in Creo (or similar CAD environment).
• Understanding of product compliance regulations.
