Onsite Support Engineer – OSS (Mantta, Finland)

About the role

The OSS Engineer provides onsite End User Services and production‑site IT/OT support to ensure stable and secure business operations. Acting as the local IT representative, the engineer works directly with business users, production teams and third‑party vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite IT contact for end‑users and production staff.
• Deliver deskside support for Windows workstations, laptops, mobile devices and tablets.
• Perform Install, Move, Add, Change and Decommission (IMACD) activities for user devices and peripherals.
• Maintain hardware lifecycle, asset tracking and inventory management.
• Participate in major incident resolution and business continuity processes.
• Support production‑related workstations, manufacturing systems and MES environments.
• Troubleshoot IoT devices, sensors, cameras, gateways and edge equipment, verifying power, cabling and network connectivity.
• Coordinate with automation, OT, network, security and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
• Assist vendors during hardware installations, cabling activities and field services.
• Ensure compliance with client IT policies, safety requirements and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience providing onsite IT support in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance standards for on‑site technical work.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for both IT and OT environments.
