Onsite Support Engineer OSS (Kemi, Finland)

About the role

The Onsite Support Engineer OSS will deliver end‑user and production‑site IT/OT support at the client’s facility in Kemi, Finland. Acting as the local IT representative, you will ensure stable and secure operations for both business users and manufacturing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite IT contact for business and production teams.
• Provide deskside support for Windows workstations, laptops, mobile devices and tablets.
• Perform IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, Decommission) of user devices and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft Office and standard corporate applications.
• Manage hardware lifecycle, asset tracking and inventory.
• Participate in major incident resolution and business continuity activities.
• Coordinate with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Workplace, Security and Application teams.
• Deliver first‑line support for production workstations, MES environments and related interfaces.
• Inspect and troubleshoot IoT devices, sensors, cameras, gateways and edge equipment.
• Assist automation vendors and third‑party partners during system maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with client IT policies, safety requirements and OT/IT integration processes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience providing onsite IT support for end‑user devices and production systems.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of IT asset management and hardware lifecycle activities.
• Basic understanding of IoT/OT devices and manufacturing execution systems.
• Ability to work closely with infrastructure, automation, network and security teams.
