Lähihoitaja – 3 positions in Helsinki Swedish‑speaking services

About the role

We are looking for three practical nurses (lähihoitaja) to join Helsinki’s Swedish‑language services for older adults. Positions are available in a bilingual home‑care team in Töölö, a 24/7 group home (Stenäng) in Oulunkylä, and a 17‑place assessment & rehabilitation unit (Granit) in Töölö.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients’ daily living activities, promote independence and wellbeing.
• Provide basic nursing care, medication administration and wound care.
• Document care in the Apotti patient information system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, relatives and external partners.
• Participate in care planning, implementation and evaluation.

Required profile

• Qualified practical nurse (lähihoitaja) with a valid licence.
• Fluent Swedish; Finnish is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including morning, evening and three‑shift schedules.
• Ability to travel between client homes or work locations using foot, bike, car or public transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Apotti health‑record system.
