AI-Native Developer – Healthcare & Social Services

About the role

CGI is seeking an AI-Native Developer to create next‑generation solutions for healthcare and social services. You will work closely with product managers, customers, and end users to turn real‑world problems into AI‑enhanced software that improves quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop healthcare and social‑services applications using modern AI‑assisted development tools.
• Design and build AI agents and other AI‑powered components.
• Participate in customer discovery, solution design, and implementation planning.
• Explore, evaluate, and apply AI tools where they deliver tangible value.
• Drive AI‑native development practices and coach teammates on effective AI adoption.
• Ensure solutions are high‑quality, secure, maintainable, transparent, and aligned with architecture and coding standards.
• Take a holistic view of architecture, integrations, data flows, dependencies, security, and the full solution lifecycle.
• Translate customer needs into maintainable solutions that integrate seamlessly into the broader service ecosystem.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in software development and AI through work, studies, coursework, or personal projects (no specific years required).
• Understanding of Java and software‑engineering best practices.
• Strong passion for AI‑assisted development and agent‑based solutions.
• Ability to balance customer value, user experience, product needs, and technical architecture.
• Curiosity, initiative, continuous‑learning mindset, and willingness to share knowledge.
• Solution‑oriented mindset focused on solving the right problems.
• Fluent English; Finnish language skills are a plus.
